Julia Cuppy

Julia Cuppy is a multi-hyphenated theatre maker: educator-actor-director-producer. She is the former Director of Education & Outreach at the Tony Award winning La Jolla Playhouse where she helped pilot EDTA's JumpStart Theatre program in 6 middle schools and served as Executive Producer of the POP Tour - new play for young audiences. As an educator, she has been a guest lecturer at San Diego State University, University of California Irvine, and the Elizabethan School of Drama in Taiwan. Currently, she is the Director of Theatre at Grants Pass High School and Thespian Troupe Director of Troupe 2354. Her curriculum can be found online at EDTA's Theatre Educator Pro, Digital Theatre+, and in the Teacher's Guide of Joe Deer's book ACTING IN MUSICAL THEATRE 3rd Edition. As an actor, favorite projects include B.D. Wong and Wayne Barker's MISTER DOCTOR and La Jolla Playhouse's HOME OF THE BRAVE. Education: M.F.A. Musical Theatre San Diego State University & M.A.T.
