In honor of Asian Pacific Heritage Month, EdTA sponsors this panel discussion and conversation especially for students and teachers identifying as Asian/Pacific Islander. Join Mark Drum, Actor, Blogger, Dancer, Photographer and EdTA Board Member, as he moderates this panel populated by industry greats, including Shelby Rabara, Joy Regullano, Jarett Fajardo, Marie Tredway, Ben Bulatao, and Peter Adrian Sudarso.

Mark Drum

A NYC-based Filipino immigrant artist and graduate from the University of Northern Colorado, with a B.A. in Theatre. Mark is an EdTA professional member, ETF Board of Trustee, EdTA Board Member, proud Thespian alum from Thespian troupe 6513 and Junior Thespian troupe 88331. He was also an ITO representative in 2005-2006. Mark has been featured on MTV (90's House and TRL) and ABC (For Life and Match Game). Shelby Rabara

Shelby Rabara, a native of Southern California, is the voice of the lovable “Peridot” on Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe. Her most recent television credit includes playing “Sumi Sen” on Amazon’s Goliath starring Billy Bob Thornton. Shelby is stoked to be on a new animated show on Netflix, but due to an NDA she can’t share which one just yet (wink, wink*). In her off time, she enjoys the beach, cooking, and having dance parties with her daughter and husband.

Joy Regullano

Joy Regullano is a writer / actor / comedian based in LA and iscurrently writing freelance for a PBS Kids webseries. Writing credits include aDreamworks / Netflix animated show (TBD 2022?), the Netflix show HEALING POWERSOF DUDE, several Sesame Workshop digital shorts, and she was a Sesame Streetwriting fellow. TV acting credits include CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, MODERN FAMILY,SPEECHLESS, HOUSE OF LIES, and SUPERNATURAL. She has performed improv andsketch around LA at UCB and Second City Hollywood. Her YouTube sketch WHITEFETISH went viral with 1M+ views and has been featured in the Huffington Post,Upworthy, and more.

Jarett Fajardo

Jarett Fajardo is a Creature Concept Creator working in the film and television industry. He is best recognized for his work in Concept art, Fashion illustration, Spfx, Makeup, and behind the scenes of various big screen and television series. Some recent noted works include Storyboard Artist on Amazons The boys, Costume Design Illustration for the hit show The Masked Singer on Fox U.S. and Germany. Also known as the original sketch artist for Left Shark in Super Bowl XLIX Katy Perry Halftime show. He has been an art designer and art director on tours for Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Slipknot, Usher, Eric Benet and many more. 

Marie Tredway

Marie Tredway is a Chicago based director/actor/choreographer. Marie is passionate about being an advocate for marginalized voices through her work and storytelling. Directing credits include: the staged readings of CANNIBALS VS KUNG FU ZOMBIES (Goodman Theater), BLACK BOX (Victory Gardens Theater), and THE FIXER (Steppenwolf) through Our Perspective: Asian American Play Readings, YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL (Milwaukee Chamber Theater), SPRING AWAKENING, LOVE AND INFORMATION, and BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON (Three Brothers Theater), and THE INVISIBLE HAND (Carthage College). Theater performance credits include: Jeff Recommended NOT ONE BATU (Nothing Without A Company), CHICAGO AFTERDARK (Artistic Conspiracy), WILD BOAR (Silk Road Rising). Marie currently recurs on Season 5 of CHICAGO MED as Nurse Trinidad “Trini” Campos. She is proud to represent her heritage as one of the rare Filipino characters on television. Ben Bulatao

Ben Bulatao, ACE is a five-time Emmy-nominated television editor known for his work on Deadliest Catch, Jay Leno’s Garage,  Ice Road Truckers, Storage Wars, Floribama Shore, COAL, A&E Biography, and many other shows. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from University of California, Irvine, and is based in Los Angeles.

Peter Adrian Sudarso

Indonesian born Chinese American Actor. Peter’s known for his role on Supergirl as Kenny Li, and Preston on Power Rangers Ninja Steel.

Ari Felix

ARIEL FELIX has worked with acclaimed film directors Paul Thomas Anderson (The Master), Lisa Cholodenko (Laurel Canyon), Nicholas Hytner (Miss Saigon) and Peter Berg (Mile 22). Stage: Paper Dolls (American Premier, directed by Drama Desk Award winner Mark Brokaw), Miss Saigon (Broadway Tour), The Caucasian Chalk Circle, F.O.B., Oedipus Rex, Mame; Best Lead Actor for “The Engineer” in Miss Saigon (Palm Springs). TV: Recurring roles in shows on the ABC, CBS and NBC networks. Ariel wrote the award-winning short film The Others, for which he received a Best Actor nomination.
