    Cathy Springfield teaches, directs, acts, writes and produces theatre. She also has bipolar disorder.

     

    Cathy Springfield is a part of the team who founded the non-profit Stop The Stigma Productions. Cathy is also one of the authors of the show “She’s Crazy: Mental Health & Other Myths,” which Stop the Stigma produces and performs nationally.

    Sherry McCamley

    Sherry McCamley is a teacher, singer/songwriter, pianist, actor, director, and producer. She also has depression.

    Erin McCamley

    Erin McCamley is a teacher, composer, actor, conductor, music director, and activist. She also has depression, PTSD, and substance use disorder.

    Participants will explore different strategies to use when working with their students on difficult, challenging and dramatic material.  Presenters will share strategies and activities they practiced while working with a variety of challenging plays and devised projects (The Yellow Boat by David Saar, The Women of Lockerbie by Deborah Brevoort, Who WIll Carry the Word by Charlotte Delbo and The Laramie Project by the Tectonic Theatre Project.) 

    Kristie Fuller

    Indian River High School Theatre Teacher

    Kristie is an award-winning Theatre teacher from Indian River High School. Several of her productions have received Awards of Excellence in Directing from the Theatre Association of New York State.  For over 25 years, Kristie has been the New York State Theatre Education Association (NYSTEA) Curriculum Chair working with Theatre standards revision, curriculum development, assessment and certification. She is currently the Theatre Chair of the Arts Content Advisory Panel and the IAAP Committee at the NYS Education Department.  She has been part of EdTA’s SEL Lesson Plan Project, Model Curriculum Project and Theatre Teacher Evaluation Workbook committee.  Her Theatre program was recognized as the Educational Theatre Association’s Outstanding School in 2007.  In 2012 she was awarded the National Reba R. Robertson Award for Outstanding Theatre Teacher and won the 2017 NYSTEA Rod Marriott Lifetime Achievement Award.

    Pooya Mohseni

    Pooya Mohseni is an Iranian-American actor, writer & Transgender activist. Her newest film “See You Then” by Mari Walker premiered at SXSW this past March to great reviews and awards and continues to make the festival rounds. Her stage performances  include "She,He,Me" for National Queer Theater, dir Sivan Battat, “Our Town” in Pride Plays, dir Jenna Worsham, “Hamlet" in Play On Shakespeare festival, dir Ellen McLaughlin, an award winning one person show "One Woman", in United Solo at The Theatre Row, dir Joan Kane, "Galatea" for the WP Pipeline festival, dir Mo Zhou and the Audible production of "Chonburi Hotel & The Butterfly Club" for Williamstown Theater Festival, dir Laura Savia. She has guest starred on “Law & Order: SVU“ , “Falling Water" on USA, “Madam Secretary” and a recurring guest star on the drama "Big Dogs" on Amazon Prime. She is a member of the advisory council for Ackerman Institute's Gender and Family Project.
