Michael Shann is a live event producer with over thirty years of experience across the globe. His track record includes large conferences, product launches, arena shows, film premieres, product launches, cruise line entertainment, theatrical presentations (plays and musicals) and large-scale sporting event ceremonies.
His career began as a stage director/manager in U.S. regional theaters, the New York stage and regional symphony orchestra and opera companies. He graduated to larger events beginning at Disneyland in California and ultimately across the United States, Europe, Asia and So America. Assignments included Disneyland Show Development, Disney Business Productions, Walt Disney World Resort Entertainment, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea Entertainment Development the Grand Opening of Disney’s California Adventure. Michael helmed Disney-themed entertainment including but not limited to: Pocahontas premiere (NY Central Park), Fantasia’s 50th Anniversary (Japan), the Calgary Stampede and Canadian National Exposition.
Following his two decades with Disney, Michael spent seven years with Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) as Executive Producer, Events - producing targeted seminars, international events and annual Global Leadership Conferences in over 30 countries.
Michael is experienced with handling production logistics, projects in non-traditional venues, headline talent, on-field projection mapping, pyrotechnics and collaborating with tv camera directors to play to the television as well as the in-stadium audience.
