Auditions can be the most challenging part of any theatre program. How do you prepare yourself and your students for success? This session will discuss pre-audition communication and prep, audition methods, and post-audition communication. Help students to shine with these methods and lower your own stress throughout the process.
Aileen Zeigler
Aileen Zeigler is a bilingual theatre artist focused on the collaborative nature of theatre. She is a director, teacher, stage manager, scenic designer, costumer, props artist and more. Her work is inspired by her belief that we can build each other up and become better by knowing each other. A teacher at heart Aileen loves to engage students and set them free to create from their inspiration. She teaches courses in Acting, Technical theatre, and Production. Aileen has directed over 30 productions with students including Catch Me if You Can, Radium Girls, Cinderella, Into the Woods, Frozen JR. and La Verdad Sospechosa. She is an active leader in the International Thespian Society with whom she has provided workshops on audio creation lessons, musical theatre yoga, technical theatre and engineering collaboration, and model cornerstone assessments. She completed her MFA in Theatre Pedagogy and Directing at the University of Idaho.
