Meet the Connected Arts Networks (CAN) Teacher Participants
Congratulations to the newly selected Connected Arts Networks (CAN) Teacher Participants. Four hundred and eighty four talented teachers have been selected to represent theatre, music, dance, visual, and media arts in virtual Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), led by each discipline’s teacher leader cohort. EdTA is proud to be the theatre partner for CAN, welcoming the one hundred and five theatre educators amongst the group who have joined our sixteen teacher leaders to create newly formed professional learning communities.
Program activities for this project are fully funded through the U.S. Department of Education’s Assistance for Arts Education Program for a total of five years.

Meet the Teacher Leaders
In phase one of the grant, teacher leaders were chosen through an extensive application process to join the first cohort. Teacher leaders spent a year training in strategies for diversity, equity and inclusion and social and emotional learning in addition to leadership training. In year three of this grant project, they will take on leadership of professional learning communities, growing our network of impact across the nation.
